Sound Familiar?
Pesky Problem
The about section in your Airbnb profile is blank.
Or perhaps you haven’t looked at it in years. So many hosts think they’ll get back to filling out their profile, only to leave it blank for months on end. Other hosts think that it just doesn’t matter. If this is you, get excited! Today’s the day you’re going to tackle that about section. It might feel like a small detail, but guests really do read these little virtual introductions. We reference them constantly to learn about the mastermind behind each Airbnb we consider. When we flip to blank about section, we disengage. But when we find an upbeat hello, we lean in (and often book).
Let's Try This
Bite-Size Solution
Share your Airbnb origin story with your guests.
If you’re at a loss for what to write in your about section, start by sharing your Airbnb origin story. Every person in the Airbnb community, both hosts and guests, remembers their first Airbnb experience. They remember the motivation for taking that leap of faith, as they opened their doors to the world as a host, or booked their first Airbnb as a guest. In our own travels, these origin stories are often the most memorable and endearing pieces in a host’s entire listing.

- Why did you start hosting on Airbnb?
- What is your relationship with your space or location
